General Information About Noosa

Noosa is Queensland's most well known sub-tropical paradise. Situated on picturesque Laguna Bay, Noosa has all the elements that make for a perfect holiday destination - a pristine river, family swimming beaches, surfing beaches, Queensland's favourite National Park, world class accommodation, shopping and dining and of course friendly smiling faces!

In Noosa you can get away from high rises, skyscrapers, dirt and noise. With no buildings higher than the trees you can stay in quality and comfort - at a price to suit millionaires or families on a budget.

Noosa Heads main beach faces north and enjoys excellent sun all year round. The Noosa Heads patrolled beach is protected by the Noosa National Park and therefore is safe for families to swim. Running parallel to the beach is Hastings Street - the heart of Noosa Heads - it is here that you will find beachfront and non-beachfront dining for all tastes and budgets, boutique shopping and some of Noosa's best apartments for sale and holiday rental. Noosa Heads incorporates the suburbs of Little Cove (view About Little Cove page), Noosa Hill, Hastings Street (view About Hastings Street page), Noosa Springs, the Noosa Junction business area and Noosa Sound (view About Noosa Sound page) on the Noosa River. All of these areas feature quality apartments, villas and homes, and prove very popular as places to live, retire, work or just holiday.

Noosa is a green shire with a population cap which will ensure that the natural environment is not compromised. Hundreds of thousands of people visit Noosa Heads every year and they keep coming back due to the many benefits that Noosa Heads offers as a destination.

Noosa Heads has earned the reputation as being the most famous resort town in Australia for more than one reason - Noosa Heads is blessed with the best climate in the country.

  • Noosa's main beach is a safe, north facing beach where we can swim all year round.
  • The environment in  Noosa Heads is well protected - only low rise and very limited development is allowed.
  • Noosa Heads features first class accommodation and top restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops competing for tourist dollars.
  • And the jewel in the crown of course is cosmopolitan Hastings Street with it's 600 metres of Noosa beachfront.

That's where the likes of the Sheraton, Noosa Court, Sebel Noosa, La Mer and Netanya are located and where guests are paying up to $2,500 per night. Property investors started to realise more than 30 years ago that spending money for apartments in such a confined area as Noosa Heads could never be a bad decision. How right they were! But those original investors from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane could never have envisaged today's Noosa prices. Over the last 20 years the average increase for beachfront apartments in Hastings Street, Noosa Heads has been strong.

When will prices in Hastings Street stop rising? That's what everybody is asking. The simple answer is: only when people decide they don't like Noosa anymore and that's hardly likely!. The available stock in Hastings Street, Noosa Heads will always be very limited, due to the fact that there is no further development possible yet a continuing strong demand.

Noosa National Park is the most visited National Park in Queensland and you can swim, surf and hike there all year round. There are miles of well kept trails along the coast and through the bush and you can stop off at one of the many sandy and secluded beaches or keep walking until you get to Alexandria Bay.

Noosa's beaches, river, lakes and canals offer everything for the water sports enthusiast - yachting, boating, fishing, surfing, swimming, jet-skiing, water-skiing and rowing. Bring your own boat or hire one along the riverside. Away from the water there's still plenty for you to do, whether in Noosa itself or in one of the many beautiful little towns and villages with their open-air markets, art galleries, potteries, superb restaurants and friendly pubs.

Our offices for sales and holiday accommodation are located on Hastings Street (number 23), just across the road from The Sheraton Noosa. We are next to one of the few beach access points.
