Marcus Beach and Castaways Beach are small communities between Sunrise Beach and Peregian Beach. Marcus Beach consists of the small beachside precinct of Marcus Dunes, and a larger community based around several sand dunes beside the blue Pacific. Marcus Dunes is a modern gated community of less than 40 homes which has been created high on the coastal dunes to take advantage of views to Mooloolaba and to Sunshine Beach and Lion's Head. Some houses also enjoy excellent views over the low scrub of the National Park to the West. The main community of Marcus Beach, a little further South of Marcus Dunes is more established and connects to the larger township of Peregian Beach. Marcus Beach is a quiet place consisting mainly of family homes and beach retreats. Many homes here have private beach access and stunning views. Castaways Beach is a little further north of Marcus Dunes. It is located solely on the western side of the David Low Way but all homes are still within short walking distance of the pristine beach. This modern estate offers bushland or ocean views from most homes. The beach from Peregian Beach to Sunshine Beach is a well known surfing spot and Marcus Beach itself often has some nice beach breaks when the sand banks are present. Surrounding Marcus Beach is a large bushland reserve covered in native flora and fauna. An interesting side note is that this whole area up to Sunshine Beach was once used as a military training ground. It is certainly a lot quieter today! Real Estate in Marcus Beach and Castaways Beach has enjoyed excellent growth along with the whole coastal strip. Its central position within a short drive of Noosa, Coolum Beach and Peregian Beach, along with its tranquil bush surrounds and quiet position makes it a popular choice with retirees, families and investors. Many older beach homes in Marcus Beach have been renovated and modernised whilst keeping in touch with the native surrounds, and the newer homes in Castaways Beach and Marcus Dunes are proving to be attractive Seachange choices. |
