Peregian Beach is located between Sunshine Beach and Coolum Beach. This township is well established and has been undergoing a lot of change recently as older homes are replaced with modern beachhouses and townhouses. Peregian Beach is centred around a small shopping precinct with a wide array of shops, the Peregian Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and the recently renovated Peregian Beach Hotel. Peregian Beach used to be partly in both the Maroochy and Noosa Shires until recently when South Peregian residents voted to become part of the Noosa Shire. Beaches in Peregian are well known to coastal surfers and the stretch along Pitta Street has an excellent reputation for producing good waves. The beach in front of the main township is patrolled and families should swim within this area as Peregian Beach is an open beach and can be affected by wild weather and large swells. Real Estate is Peregian Beach has performed well in the past few years. It is now on the map as far as coastal property goes as it has an extensive selection of properties. Properties along the beachfront are only separated from the beach by a narrow coastal protection zone. Peregian Beach rises up to a couple of hills and from locations such as Pelican Street, awesome ocean views can be obtained all the way to Mooloolaba. Property in Peregian Beach has risen (xx%) in recent years. The recent addition of the Peregian Springs development a couple of kilometres inland from Peregian Beach has brought much more interest to this area. Peregian Springs is a golf course community which also features a Private School and a retirement village. Golf Course frontage homes are attracting strong prices. Vacant land and newly built homes are still readily available in this area. |
