Getting to Noosa
Planes, Trains and limousines!

There are now several ways to get to Noosa and depending on your departure point, there is certain to be a method that suits your needs. Noosa is approximately 150km north of Brisbane, 250km from the Gold Coast and 1100km north of Sydney.

Planes

The Sushine Coast airport (visit official site) provides a quick and easy connection to the major capitals of Australia. Regular services are available through both Virgin Blue (visit site) and JetStar (visit site). Visitors arriving from overseas or from regional centres of Australia may need to transit through Brisbane Airport where car hire, train services or connecting flights are available.

Cars & Buses

The Bruce Highway connects the Sunshine Coast with Brisbane and beyond and makes the 150km journey from Brisbane take only about 1.5hours. Follow the highway until you get to the Eumundi/Noosa Heads exit and you are about 25 minutes away. Cars can be hired from the Airport or Brisbane City or for that special occasion you may want to hire a limousine for the trip up (visit site).

Smaller Airport transfers are the best option if travelling by bus as they take a lot less time. There are several companies specfically servicing the Sunshine Coast

Trains

The closest train station is at Eumundi and would require a taxi ride of approximately 25 minutes to get to Noosa. Having said that, the train ride is quite picturesque as it winds its way up through the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast.
