Whiteboards. We use them in every industry. No doubt you have probably sat in front of one lately. But there is one industry where writing on a whiteboard always brings smiles to the faces of both clients and staff.

An industry where that scrawled writing shows movement... it means confidence... and when the coloured marker text fills every corner of the contract board it signifies a not only a slight recovery but a meaningful and lasting trend.

Our industry is of course Real Estate. November 2009 proved a welcome return to the confident market we are used to in Noosa. After the world financial belly-flop of the past year or so, even the most educated financial experts found it hard to predict when the uptick would begin.

“To us the writing is now on the wall.”

Prices haven’t moved too far yet, but the volume of sales has increased dramatically. It is the time of year here in Noosa when everyone is thinking of sun and surf, relaxation and holidays. Properties that have been on the market are now disappearing. SOLD signs are popping up all over the place. Clearance rates at auctions are increasing. The overall mood of buyers is positive again.

We suggest that if you are in the market for a property that you should consider the selection of properties we have to offer in our Summer Collection auction program.

The new year is looking strong and two new beachfront developments are set to start. The redevelopment of Seahaven is looking positive with a number of co-ownerships already sold in the initial release program. "Firstlight" will bring a new level of service never seen in Noosa to date with 60 staff servicing just 20 apartments. We have been overwhelmed by the response from our client base. "Firstlight" will not be available to the rental market so once it is built you will not be able to stay there unless you are a co-owner. It is a stunning design.
The other development set to start is "Sandpiper", a boutique development of only 3 full floor penthouse style apartments (only 2 left). This may possibly be the last opportunity to secure a luxury apartment on absolute beachfront.
